Digital and Computational Pathology Laboratory/DCPL (Pathology and Cell Biology)

Overview of Services

Through a partnership with NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, the Digital and Computational Pathology Laboratory (DCPL) was established in 2018 with a mission to facilitate the basic, translational and clinical research in pathology, and to support related educational efforts.

To accomplish this mission, the lab provides meaningful access to robust tooling and infrastructure, along with technical expertise.

Whole Slide Imagers:

  • Leica GT450 for automated, at-scale bright field imaging.
  • Leica AT2 (legacy device) for semi-automated bright field imaging.
  • [Coming soon] Multiplex fluorescent imaging

Image Management System:

Computational Pathology Software:

  • Halo (2 workstations)
  • Visiopharm
  • NVIDIA DGX Station for custom AI analysis.

Leadership

  • Kevin Gardner, MD, PhD
    Lab Director

  • Michael L Miller, MD, PhD
    Lab co-Director

Authorship and Acknowledgment

In cases where the lab plays a critical role in the scientific process, such as examples listed below, please consider listing the lab member(s) as authors in publications.

  • Involved in the study design & interpretation of results
  • Supervised aspects of the project
  • Contributed to data analysis and acquisition
  • Drafted key aspects of the manuscript.

When the lab's services are provided that do not warrant authorship, please add the following statement to the acknowledgment:
